Poem: “May I Feel”

November 24, 2014

“May I feel,” said he,

“the softness of your breasts against my cheek;

just because they’re soft

and intimate,

and I need to feel

something soft and intimate…”

“May I feel,” said he,

“the softness of your breasts against my cheek;

just because they’re soft

and intimate,

and I need to feel

something soft to heal.”

First line inspired by “may i feel said he” by e e cummings, for which reason I leave you with an excerpt from another of his works:

..exists no mightier miracle than this: to feel

– e e cummings
