Poem: Calling Home

August 23, 2012
tags: ,

I called Home yesterday,
having been away all my life.

The sounds, so familiar though unknown.

The easy comfort of a laugh,
or silent smiling.

How soon the homesickness passed
when I heard what I’d been missing.

Everything felt just right,
and felt just like Home.
